I have seen so many people doing this, and I wanted to try on my 2015 MBP. I bought a dvd burner and have already gone through two DVDs that wouldn't boot. First one appears but just boots to macos, other one doesn't do anything. I have used a normal ISO, and a modified ISO with the Windows 10 EFI folder, which ended up being the one that never showed up on the boot menu. If anyone has any idea on how to fix this, it would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you for your reply, but that will not work in my case. I am on macOS 12, so Windows 7 can't be done through bootcamp, and I already have 11 installed with it. I am trying to install 7 on an external drive, but was unsuccessful with a USB.

Is UTM not an option?

There you will find an easy way to install Windows.
