How can I make sure my MacBook is ready for Snow Leopard?

I would just like to be prepared. :)

I have a white MacBook running OS X 10.5.6
Processor: 2.1 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
Current Memory: 1 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM

I plan on upgrading to 4GB of memory soon.

Give it some notice in advanced that you are upgrading to Snow Leopard, just in case it's a bit surprised.

Your question is just oh-so-juicy for smart-arse repartees!

It's already ready!

An oil change wouldn't hurt though.

Would you recommend synthetic? :)

I appreciate all the answers for my dumb-ass noob question, thanks guys!
