How can I pair my AirPods Pro with my work iPad?

Literally can’t seem to do it, I open the case next to the iPad, nothing. Go to Bluetooth and I see a whole bunch of phones belonging to strangers in the cafe but not my AirPods.

Any way to do this….?

What happens if you are in an area by yourself and put your AirPods in your ears? Then open up settings on your iPad and turn Bluetooth off and on again if they don’t show up for pairing. Once the iPad sees them, go through the pairing process. Mine automatically swap from iPhone to iPad flawlessly.
