I'm new to the MAC world. Just bought a new iMAC 27'' with ssd.
coming from the pc world i used to make iso of my movies and make it portable so i can play on other devices.
now my new imac does not have the optical drive but my laptop pc does.
how can I convert my DVD on my laptop for it to be playable on the MAC platform.
Tried some iso but won't play. Any work around please!

have you tried using a program like RipIt to produce a .dvdmedia file? That should work fine.

Or you can attach an external DVD drive.
thank you will try it.
To be be clearer I want to have the DVD played softwarewise with all DVD features such as Menu.
I just copied the .VOB and it played but it lacks the menu.
