How can I prevent the preview app from re-opening images after I quit and reopen the app?

When I quit the Preview app, I want all images closed, and don't want them re-opened the next time I open it. I've looked at 3rd party image viewing apps like Pixea but they don't have features like live text and I don't like switching back and forth between defaults. I look at NSFW images with the app, and its annoying to see them upon re-opening, and maybe one day I'll get in trouble with it.
