How can I read a word doc with comments on iPad

I would like to be able to read a word doc on my iPad so that I can read comments that have been added. The comments in the comment bubbles don't show up when I open a doc in an email. Is it possible to see them some other way? Using pages app for iPad? Opening via Dropbox ? Another way ?
