Hi All -

Bear with me and I'll explain my situation. MacbookPro 2.4

I have 2 hard drives - internal 250gb ( running SnowLeopard ) and external 160gb ( running Leopard ).

Recently, my logic board failed - and I took out my internal drive, so I could boot off GF's Macbook and carry on working while the MBP was getting fixed.

For some reason when using the Macbook - all my settings went from Mail - and I had to re-enter all my accounts. When I did this, I couldn't get all my accounts up, and the ones that did had some files and folders missing.

However, if I boot on the external 160gb, they are all good.

HOW CAN I COPY MY MAIL FROM 160GB DISK TO 250GB INTERNAL DISK, TO RESTORE MY MAIL SETTINGS / PREFERENCES?

I would like to retain all my emails.

cheers

There is probably a much faster way which is escaping me but could you not use an old pen and paper and write down the settings?

In the user/library folder there's a folder called mail and mail downloads. Copy them over, replacing the existing ones. Then, in preferences, copy com.apple.mail.plist.
