I am looking for a free application that I can download that would let me save videos on my iMac to view them later, some of the web sites
that I would like to download a video from , do not show the URL for the video, just a click here to watch button. most of the videos I would like to download and watch later are similar to YouTube videos, ( but not YouTube as its blocked here at the moment ) can any one suggest
a suitable application... please.

Open the Activity window (Window -> Activity) and scroll to the necessary page, then look for the largest file in the contents and double click it. This should make Safari start downloading that video.

After the download is finished you have a get_video file on your hard drive. Just add ".flv" to its name and it should open in apps like VLC for viewing.

This works with all flash videos that I tried.

Hi eXan , thanks for the reply .. I would really like to keep using Firefox , I was hoping that there would be some sort of application I could just download and paste the Video URL into , a bit like .. http://keepvid.com/ , which seems not to work on a Mac, and I really don't want to install Windows , ive googled but not found any thing so far , any ideas :(

Thanks vandozza , I will try them out and let you know how things go

its Appreciated ... :)
