Hi,
New to iPods - so still finding my way.

I'd like to be able to plug in my IPT, and see it as I would a hard disk, thereby being able to add/remove files.

On a related side, I can see it on iTunes, but all the songs are greyed out, so again I can't manipulate them. HOW do you delete, rename etc. songs or files?

cheers all:)

You can't. They disabled Disk Mode for all iPod touches.

If you jailbroke yours, you can use SCP or SFTP to store stuff in /private/. Just make a folder, something like /private/my_data/ and anything in there will go on the 8 or 16gb drive.

Thanks Spike

Just trying to figure jailbreak now - but having probs - is there and dummy GUI method to jailbreak - I'm not too terminal savvy:eek:

ps - whats SCP & SFTP ( and SSH for that matter )?
