How can i see when my mac was first used/turned on?

Hi all!

How can i find out when i first turned my mac on, or bought it? I know i turned it on the day i got it. Like, I want to know when i first used it/turned on, to work out exactly how long i've had it.

If you just want to find out when you bought it, enter your serial number into Apple's support page on AppleCare. Unless you've never shut down, I'm not sure of a way to determine when it was first turned on.

Just tried that! Although it is a day behind. Thankfully i updated my twitter when i bought it, so i know the date.

Some great ideas in that thread too. Knew there had to be a Terminal command to find this out. Glad you got it figured out OP
