How can I send video through iMessages if it's not in camera roll?

I have a video that I took with my digital camera. I converted it to .mp4 with Handbrake and got it on my iPad. I need to send it through SMS message to another iPad (my grandmother's). How can I do this? It is only letting me attach files from my photo stream, but this one isn't there because I didn't use my iPad to record it.

I realize I could send it by email but I am trying to make it easy for my grandmother. Please help

Unless the iPad is jailbroken, you must send it via the Camera Roll.

Jailbreak both devices, purchase AirBlue Sharing - it's the best. Or, if you don't want to pay any money, get iFile, it also has excellent (albeit not as versatile) BT file sending capabilities.

Thanks but I figured out a way without jailbreaking...I emailed the video to myself and then downloaded onto my iPad. Then it appeared in my Camera Roll. Roundabout way but worked perfectly.
