Hi.

I'm running OS 10.7.5 on an old Mac Pro 1,1.

One of the things about Preview 5.5.3 that drives me crazy is that it always opens PDFs in Continuous Scroll mode. I never need that. Ever. In fact, I've never needed it in decades of using PDFs. I don't know why it exists, never mind why it's a default.

I can't run Mountain Lion or Mavericks on my old hardware, so I don't know if newer versions of Preview have fixed this.

Anyway, I always need to view PDFs in Two Pages mode. So every time I open a PDF I have to change it manually, using a mouse. There's not even a keystroke to do it. That gets really annoying after a while.

So does anyone know, is there any way to change the default? Some Terminal voodoo to change things around? I'd really like Preview to just work the way I want it, and this is one of those little prickly annoying things that's starting to drive me crazy...

Thanks.
