I have a new Airport Extreme that I believe allows for up to 5 connections.

I have two computers on most of the time for internet, a wireless printer and a blu-ray.

In addition I have the ability to connect to the Extreme for my ipad and iphone.

How can I look up and see how many are connected to my Extreme?

it's 50 connections for an extreme (10 for an express)

in airport utilitiy
go to advanced, then click logs and statistics. there's a wireless clients tab there

It actually supports up to 50. To see the number of connected devices, open AirPort Utility, select the Extreme, and click Manual Setup. Right below the channel will be the number of clients. Clicking on the words Wireless Clients will bring up additional information including hardware addresses and signal strength.
