How can I unlock my ATT to use on T-Mobile

I bought an iphone 4s on ebay. I knew it was locked but I had a guy who would unlock it for me. Long story short: I lost my old phone and lost his contact info.

How can I unlock my Att iphone 4s to use on T-mobile? I don't want to pay a third party site.

Well if you don't want to pay for a 3rd party unlock, then the only way would be to have somebody you know with AT&T request an unlock for your iPhone.

Has T-Mobile refarmed the network in your area? You may only get EDGE on that 4s.

Yep, you either ask AT&T for an unlock or pay for one.
