Which computer and OS version do you have? iMovie 2 is 15 years old so it's extremely unlikely that your current system will run the latest version, but with some more information we can determine the latest one that'll run.
Duff-man says...yeah, since you seen to be dealing with older hardware the options are going to be limited . If your specific hardware info is provided then you'll get some replies as to how far fwd you can go but if you're at all being serious about what you want to do then don't set your hopes too high - many of the software upgrades are going to mean hardware upgrades for your too....oh yeah!
