I have a gif I would like to use on my lockscreen, how would I go about doing it?

Yes you can do this. You need to create a theme activated with winterboard that contains a LockBackground.html file that points to your gif. I've only used web links so I'm not sure if locally saved copies work. If you want to let me know the link to the gif I can do it for you when I get a chance.

it's the gif of kevin ware, you might not wanna see it.

Yea I don't need to see that again.

Just for anyone else reading along, you're not limited to winking smiley faces or gruesome injuries. ;) You can use some really nice quality cinemagraphs for your lockscreen.
