How can I view what the kbps quality is on a mp3?

I know with windows you'd just hover over the file and it'd tell you. I right clicked and selected Get Info but it doesn't say anything.

Usually it appears in the Get Info window, but I always look at such info in iTunes.

This may be a silly question but why would you need to know the kbs per second?

A higher kbps usually indicates a higher quality recording.

Yeah, I'm not seeing anything in that Get Info window it does have the size of the file. I will try the App its too bad one is needed just to see this. I know iTunes will show but that's after importing to your library...usually play single songs from VLC.
