I know iClould will take care of this when it comes but for now I want to be able to add and event to my iCal and have it show up on my iphone without hooking my phone up to iTunes. Thanks.

Do you have G-Mail? Yahoo? Something else?

Go into the iCal preferences on your Mac. It should be possible to sync it with a number of different services. Figure out which one you can use.

Then add it on your phone and it will do what you want.

If you decide to use a service that you already have on your phone (like, let's say G-Mail) then just go into the settings for that and make sure G-Mail has 'Calendars' turned on. Easy.

But let's say you use a private domain for your e-mail. You can still add something like G-Mail to your phone but then turn 'Calendars' on and 'E-Mail' off. So you could have a G-Mail account that has no mail in it...just calendars.

Anyway, start with the iCal settings on your Mac to see what you can use.

** I'm assuming you have Snow Leopard...if not, you need to tell us more.

I have a Google exchange account. Will that work?
