Hi

how do i view my ipod touch in my computer on vista so i can use it as a mass storeage device also?

Thanks

Currently there isn't an option to use the iPod Touch in Disk Mode which means that you can't use it as a mass-storage device as per the other iPod models (excluding iPhone).

This isn't possible in Finder on a Mac or in Explorer on XP/Vista. Functionality may come as a future firmware/software upgrade but I wouldn't necessarily bet on it!

Thats stupid IMO. So there is no way of viewing it as a drive? Not even after a jail break?

It's absurd that Apple locks this down. An MP3 player should just be a flash drive plus media functionality.

Not sure if this will work, but here's something: TouchCopy

It is a bizarre decision that I don't see the reason behind from Apple - I'm sure there's a good explanation for it (I'm just not sure what).

All my previous iPods (a 1st Gen Mini, 4th Gen iPod and an iPod Photo) all had this functionality and it was fairly useful. I personally don't see it as a deal-breaker though...
