i feel like my mac has gotten a bit slower after viewing 1 "bad" site for the mature viewers. is there anyway i can check a certain place i can check to see if theirs any "fishy" files on my mbp without having to use an anti-virus program? i know theres no "viruses in the wild for mac os x". im just curious and want to see for myself.

thanks all!

Well they tend not to tell you where they live. It's how they go unnoticed. I highly doubt you have anything though from simply visiting a web page. As long as you didn't download and install anything from it or give it your user name and password everything should be fine.

alright thanks for the reply. the reason why im kind of bugged out from it is because i went to norton and mcafee's site and searched the site i went to and it popped up witha red X saying "this site is insecure and not safe. may contain threats".
