How Can You Remove A Program Association?

I used to have Parallels on my machine, I've since upgraded to VMWare Fusion and changed most of my file associations, so that Word docs and such open with Word in Fusion. However I did a full uninstall of Parallels and the association is still showing up. I don't want a file to even have the option to open with Parallels, as it's not installed. How can I remove this option?

How did you uninstall Parallels Desktop then? Was it via this method?

Best way to FULLY DELETE a program without the need of any additional, inefficient applications

I deleted the files out of Applications, then I found that wasn't thorough enough, so I had to download the IMG file and ran the uninstall. I'll try your video when I get back to the office tomorrow.
