OK, so I've been having an issue with my Apple Watch and NRC+ and have been having issues for about a month and a half. Typically, I run with my watch and keep my iPhone in my pocket, in order to use the iPhone's GPS. About a month and a half ago, the run maps on the NRC+ app stopped showing the "heat" tracking on the map. I do get the proper split times, but I'm not able to see the fast and slow portions of the run.
Also, when I import into SmashRun, the splits no longer import correctly and I get splits that are all the same ... which is never really the case.
Anyways, this evening on my run, I decided to pull out my phone to ensure that the iPhone GPS was being used, but the blue bar was not on. So I'm thinking that perhaps my watch is not using the iPhone's GPS and maybe it's been this way for the whole month and a half that I've been having problems.
So I also checked with the regular Apple Workout app using an outdoor walk and the blue bar didn't come on either.
OK, so here're the questions.
1. Did Apple change something with the latest wOS where the blue bar is no longer used when the watch uses the iPhone GPS?
2. Is there a setting that you can set that makes the aWatch use only it's own GPS? Maybe I flipped it by mistake.
3. Is there a way to look into GPS workout and see what the source of the data is? If so, how do you export workout data?
4. Is anyone else having this issue? If so, have you fixed it and are you willing to help?
Thanks!
