How close are the ports together?

I'm asking this to know if for example 2 of these adapters can fit next to each other:

I would prefer that adapter over a cable dongle.

Not a chance given the distance between the ports on my 13" ntMBP. But you might squeeze one of those adapters in the port alongside a regular USB-C cable in the othe port, like the power cable
