How come ATT would not let employees take vac in June w/ 6/24 release date

Just curious how come ATT would not let their employees take vacation in june if the Iphone wont be release until the 24th of the month?

Apple likes to keep these things secret. If they said "no vacations after June 23rd" then people would get suspicious and think that means something.

Because can you imagine how many phone calls they are getting right after the June 7th announcement?
