i been on osx for 2 yrs now, kind of tired of looking at the same screen.

why isn't there no third party theme apps?
does apple restrict this or something?

There are themes, look for Magnifique ... but last I checked, it doesn't work for Snow Leopard, only Leopard.

If you are tired of the theme after only two years (which isn't even possible, as SL came out ~14 months ago) you are not a loyal Apple customer and thus should be banished. Look into various Linux distros if you want to change the theme, and speak quietly!

The theming market for OSX is basically dead and you can thank apple for that. They made if incredibly hard to theme the OS, and with every update, it typically breaks the theming app.

There is theming but its virtually non-existant (at least compared to what theming is on windows).

Apple is about control, so much so, they want to enforce a common look and feel to OSX
