How did it 'looked'? And that is not MR, was MR even thought of in 1996?

Wow, the current design of this site was uploaded December 31, 2003!
The website design is 5 years old, that's en eternity for the internet and computers!

This site definitely needs some type of update.

"If it's not broken, don't fix it"

they don't have to change the style, as long as it's light user friendly it's okay to keep it.

I bet your the type of web designer that packs in new features because you think they are cool or look cool but all the users really hate.

:D

Have you pointed to yahoo.com recently? They've just launched their first major overhaul since 2006. Sad to report they haven't really learned much of anything. :(

Saw that the other day but I just close the bar and never seen the new Yahoo page yet...not interested at the moment.

I'm sure that all of you people on here bashing what I said took into account that I said that the site needs an update, not a redesign. Best that you read and understand what people say before you reply back.

There are some features that this site could use to make it more user friendly. I am not "one of those designers that packs in all of the new features", simplicity is one of the best ideas, but it has to look nice.

The Mac Pro's casing from day 1 has been gorgeous, even today the design stands strong and it still looks awesome. This site's look on the other hand has always been so-so.

Don't get me wrong, I like MacRumors. With me, sites without updates every one and a while become an eyesore.

There is definitely an effort to add new features, but as it has been stated a couple of times in the Site and Forum Feedback section, the site has gotten to be so large that updating is problematic. The fact that MacRumors may not have all of the other tiny features that other forums have make the simplicity uniquely MacRumors.
