I’m looking to upgrade from my 42mm S1 watch to S4 but have couple questions about the new sizes for those that have already upgraded

For those that upgraded from a 42mm S0-S3 and got the 44mm how did you find the bigger screen? Is it too big and do you any regrets at all such as wishing you’d got the 40mm?

For those that upgraded from a 42mm S0-S3 and opted to get the 40mm do you have any regrets and wish you had got the bigger screen?

Hoping to get to a store and see the 44mm in person, but curious about those that have done either of the above and have had a hands on experience initially and a few weeks/months later

I've gone from Series 0 straight to the 4, always the bigger option. Bigger screen is great, because the dimensions of the watch and display are the same. More screen in the same frame is always nice to look at. No regrets here.

I have had the S0, S2, and S3 all in 42mm. My girlfriend got me the 44mm watch for Christmas and I couldn't be happier with the size. Another thing to note, if you are going down in size, none of your current bands will fit. Depending on how many bands you have that may or may not be an issue.

Thanks for the replies, I’m pretty certain I’m going for the 44mm just wondered if anyone had upgraded and thought 44mm was too big and wish they had gone for the 40mm

Here’s the thing. Even though the sizes went up by 2mm, it’s mostly in that the watch is curvier and less square.

Visually, the 44 still looks like a 42 and the 40 looks like 38.

If you put a 40 on, it’ll look more like you’re wearing a slightly larger 38 than a slightly smaller 42.

I have a 44 and my wife has a 40. We upgraded from 42 and 38. I’ve tried on the 40 because I thought about getting it but it just looks wrong on my wrist, and I have pretty tiny wrists for a guy.

I have the 42 s0 and bought the 44 s4. I have small wrists but glad I did. The watch is barely bigger at all.

I got an S4 44mm for Christmas. I came from a S2 42mm. Love the new screen size, and the thinner body frame. When packing up my S2 to ship out after it being sold, the screen seemed so small.

I love the larger display size. As others have mentioned, the physical size of the watch is the same. It is sort of like shrinking the bezels on a laptop so you have more display real estate in the panel size.
