macOS How did you install Node?

I've tried various ways involving Homebrew, NVM, pkg file, or some combination of these. With any method, it seems I'll manage to eventually run into an issue with installing or running another module, some dependency, a conflict, missing path, version incompatibility, etc., leading to endless tweaking, troubleshooting. No path is happy.

What works for you?

1) Downloaded from here. https://nodejs.org/en/
2) Double clicked package.
3) Open Terminal
4) Type node and press return
