Just curious about how everyone updated and how their battery is now...

I did the OTA update and my battery is worse. My wife did the full update/sync and hers is better... Lets see what the poll reveals!

Not quite sure I understand you. Do you mean iOS 5.0.1? Because it's impossible to OTA update from 4.x -> 5.x, as OTA functionality wasn't in iOS 4.

Yes, 5.0.1

Thanks for the clarification. In that case, I updated through iTunes (three times; once from 5.0 to 5.0.1b1, then to 5.0.1b2, then to 5.0.1). Apparently you can't OTA update from the betas to the GM, so I had no other option.

As for battery life, it seems about the same to me. These issues seem to only have affected very few people. The only time battery life was a problem on my 4S was when I went on a short trip, and used it for five hours of streaming radio, plus Twitter and IRC, as well as a few foursquare checkins. Came home with a dead battery.

Yep just what we need is another thread on battery life!

My battery is no better after the update but then it was more than good enough BEFORE the update.

No problems here, just enjoying the phone:p

can't enjoin the phone like we want , keep charging everytime is drain ,

why dont apple spend money hire some smart guy who could create good real good battery , this issue repeat again and again for iphone .......

my battery was good to start with i wouldnt say it has really improved thouugh, maybe a little better in standby but no better in usage
