I've got a 2010 MBP and the battery barely lasts two hours on a charge, so naturally was thinking of replacing it. How difficult is it to do yourself?

It's really easy. Here are guides with a list of the proper tools. Keep in mind you need a special tri-wing screwdriver, which isn't exactly standard in everyone's toolkit.

If you're careful, you can use a small flathead screwdriver to remove these screws.

- I've heard that, too. I tend to be the kind that would rather buy a fancy screwdriver than risk stripping my screws, though. But it's an option.

- Conveniently, Ifixit sells them, too. If you follow the "Parts" link below the upper right photo on the guide pages.
Here's for 15".
