Hi,

I currently have a 15inch MacBook Pro with final cut studio, I use an external HD monitor for my main editing and the MBPs display for secondary. I am running out of screen real-estate for my secondary and want to get a 3rd monitor. The only problem is that there is not way to upgrade the graphic cards in the MBP. My question is: How can i have a total of 3 displays all displaying different images(ie. not mirrored).

Thank you for the help.

are there any cheaper options- Free?

Free? Stealing perhaps, as you need additional hardware to achieve what you want to achieve.

A PC with a graphics card with two ports to connect to two displays is not able to transfer video to a third monitor unless you buy additional hardware.

If you use MRoogle (my and many, many, many others' signatures), you find plenty of threads about connecting a third/second monitor to the MB(P) or iMac via some USB to VGA/DVI devices. But as it is extra hardware I suppose one has to spend money on them.
