I set up airdrop with myself (iphone 6 and ipad) and once I accepted on the ipad the first time, the ipad accepted every file after. But what if I don't want it to accept automatically?

Also on the permissions (off/contacts only/everyone) do they apply to if YOU want to receive them from contacts only/everyone, or if you can only send them to contacts only/everyone?

Like on my iPhone if I set it to everyone, does that mean I can receive something from everyone? And that regardless of setting, I'll see everyone around me with an iphone?
