How do I access AVCHD files in FCP when they are on my Mac hard drive?

As far as I know it is only supported via the log and capture window.

The files can be accessed via the log and TRANSFER window. The FCP instructions that are online have a bit of a typo.

Ah well. I'm still running FCP 5.1.4 with a miniDV based camera. Glad it works though .
