I already did a search on the forums and google.. I tried typing chflags nohidden ~/Library in terminal and it doesn't work. I tried typing sudo chflags nohidden ~/Library and i am unable to type my password as terminal just freezes up.

I'm running Mountain Lion OS X on a 2012 Mac Mini.

This is really ****ing frustrating.

That doesn't sound good. Are you sure you typed the command exactly? You don't need to use sudo for anything in your User domain -- you own it already.

There are many ways to access the Library or other hidden folders. <alt> and Go menu is one. <command><Shift> G and type ~/Library is another.

Easy way to make the user library visible:

Search for the freeware app "Mountain Tweaks".

Download it and it has an option to make the user library visible.
