Hi, sorry if this has been posted already. I ordered a 3gs from apple, when it gets delivered, do I have to take to the at&t or the apple store to get it activated? or is there a way to do it online? thanks for the help.

if i put my sim card from the original iphone will that cause it to be activated then i plug the phone in to put all the stuff onto the phone

I was at two different AT&T's today, and one told me to swap SIMs, so my current G2 iPhone's is in my new one, and activate it via iTunes.
The other told me to swap SIMs and I then need to go back to AT&T and they activate it for me.

anyone know which is correct?

So if we're going from iPhone 3G to iPhone 3G S we use the SIM that comes pre-installed in the 3G S?

We should not take the SIM from our 3G and put it in the 3G S?

if you r porting a number can u still do it on itunes or do you have to go to the store and have them do it?

Does anyone know if it will be a fairly easy process activating through itunes for a brand new customer. Just signed up with at&t and i'm leaving verizon and having my number ported when i activate the phone in tunes. I just don't wanna have to go to at&t or apple the day of release cause i don't want to deal with the mayhem.
