I'm going to University in September, so I'm ripping all my DVDs to AVI format (NOT MP3, so I can't add them to iTunes) so I can save storage. And I'd like to view them in Front Row with an IMAGE and a DESCRIPTION of the movie.

So is there a way I can add these to the files?

This is how they look in iTunes at the moment:

And this is how I'd like them to look like:

Thankyou!

I tried that, but you can't put AVI in it

Sorry, I can't read apparently. My bad. You don't have QuickTime Pro do you? I was just able to save an avi to a mov container and tag that. It's fast because it doesn't re-encode. Any reason you want to use .avi?

Will Front Row read MOV?

Will Front Row read MOV?

Hi,
Ok I tested this out. I took and .avi (divx) and pulled it up in QT Pro. I then saved it as a self contained movie, which puts it in a .mov container. I was able to tag it with MetaX. Itunes accepted it fine and Front Row read it fine as well.
