How do I add my magazine subscriptions to Newsstand?

I have quite a few magazines subscriptions (Esquire, National Geographic, many others), but when I search for them in Newstand, it doesn't bring them up. It has Esquire UK, but not regular Esquire.

Isn't that what Newsstand was supposed to do? Or did I misunderstand this feature?

Over time, magazines that choose to participate with Newsstand will issue updates to make them Newsstand compatible. When the update happens it will automatically remove the original app and transfer it into the Newsstand folder.

Are your Newsstand subscriptions supposed to show up in all of your devices (same iTunes account) even though you initially subscribed on one of them?
