i have a ibook g4, and i have just ordered another stick of ram. i was wondering how you are supposed to slot it in and where ? thankx ! :confused:

go to pbfixit.com, and itll show ya...i installed 1 gb of ram in my old ibook g4 in about 6 minutes and 34 seconds (the 6 minutes was unscrewing everything, and 34 seconds putting the ram into the slot)
 
The #1 thing to know is that it takes a moderate amount of force to properly seat the RAM in the socket.
WHILE the RAM in inserted at a 30 - 45 degree angle, push it into the socket so that no or very little of the contact pins of the module remain showing.
THEN rotate it down to the horizontal position.

If you see more than 1/32" (1mm) of gold contacts showing, or if the top edge of the contacts is not parallel to the edge of the socket, then you have not properly seated it.
