How do I add text to slideshows?

I have a picture and video slideshow I am making, but I want to add text to some of the pictures and maybe a few pages of just text (section intros etc). Any suggestions?

What application are you using? Usually you can do these things inside the slideshow app itself.

LOL! Good question! I guess I should have said I'm using the iLife suite, particularly iMovie.

Have never tried those apps, but can't you make a textbox?
