How do I autoconnect my D-Link DWL-G122 in Leopard?

Im not really in trouble, because everything is working etc,
but everytime i start up my Mac (PPC G4, 10.5.6) i have to "wake up" my USB dongle by opening its preference pane manually.
Is there any way for making the computer do that job for me automatically as soon as the device is available?
