About to plunge back into JB world but I'd like the ability to be able to restore my iPad exactly the way it was right before I did the JB. From prior experience just restoring thru iTunes always was goofy and I would end up having to do a full restore and lose all my files, apps, contacts, etc. Is there some backup file I can just copy and set aside?

Where are the backup files located on my PC? I think what I am going to do is simply copy them over to a backup file so they don't get overwritten.

Click "Extend all sections," then look for "Where backups are stored." Once you find that directory, you will see a folder with a name that is a long number. Copy that entire folder somewhere else. If you want to restore to a pre-JB state, move out the backup made during JB, and move back the pre-JB backup, then restore your iPad from that.
