How do I *BLEEP* out a curse word in iMovie??

kind of an odd question, but i have a video where i want to bleep out a curse word, but cant figure it out. im a beginner using iMovie, but i do know how to add sound effects and do voice overs.

how would i play the sound effect OVER the word or mute that part of the clip for that split second? THANKS!

Can you still extract the audio in iMovie.

If you can, do that and you'll get the audio in it's own timeline. You can the change the volume for that one word.
