iPhone X How do I block spam SMS with no number?

I'm getting a large number of spam messages per day and the iPhone only displays a name and not a number for these senders (just like if they were saved in my contacts, but none of them are saved). (Please see the screenshot I took from my mac).

Is it possible to block these messages?

Without a number I have not been able to block those either on phone or in AT&T app. However those have been only small handful. Lately getting a lot of spam robo calls from computers using local numbers of other people. Ma Bell or her son AT&T need to get on this and prevent it.

Have you tried nomorobo? It may work for you. It works well for spam calls too

Nomorobo works well. I have used it in the past.
