How do I bookmark an mp3 file partway through? For instance, if I have a 40 minute mp3 (it's a conference), then how do I bookmark it halfway through the mp3 so that when I play the file again in iTunes, it will resume from the point that I bookmarked it at?

Two options:

1) Chapter Tool, can be used to put "permanent" bookmarks in the MP3 file which can be skipped to as if they were tracks. http://homepage.mac.com/applepodcast/podcasts/Resources/static/podcast_chapter_tool_beta.dmg

2) Turn on the "remember playback position" checkbox by selecting the MP3 in iTunes 6, Get Info, Options. Then play it to the position you want to remember. ;)
