How do I burn an avi file to DVD?

Hi, I have the new G4 ibook 14" superdrive. I have just bought some DVD-R discs and want to burn an avi file onto one so that it plays in all DVD players.

Can anyone tell me what to do please? Do I need some software or does idvd do this?

You can just drag the file into iDVD and it will convert and burn it for you.

There's been many threads on this so if you have any more questions just do a search and look for the answer in one of the other threads.
