how do I cancel the email subscription??

I would like to cancel the email subscription for the thread that Ive posted in. How do I do that? My inbox is flooded!

edit a post in the thread you want to stop emails from and it will be there after you click go advanced (it is the middle button in case the buttons do their switcheroo)

Go to User CP at the top left, then List Subscriptions down a bit on the left side. Here you can check the thread(s) you want to unsubscribe from and choose "No email notification" from the "Selected Threads" popup.

There should also be a link to unsubscribe in each email message.

No you dont. Open your User CP. On the left hand bar, click Edit Options. Go down to Messaging & Notifications, and under Default Thread Subscription Mode click Do Not Subscribe.
