How do I chance icons?

I downloaded them so how do I change the icons?

yes, just make sure you keep original copys of the icon you changed

No I did'nt I just followed the directions of copy and pasting, however, I have everything backed up via time machine so I always can get the original folder through that way correct?

yeah restoring from time machine will change everything back to how it was

While in Get Info, select the icon you changed, hit the delete key, and the icon will revert to the original.

Hey all!

I have been changing the icons on a few files, and want the new icons to stay attached to the file, so that, when displayed on another computer, they will still have the same look. Preferable both on a pc and a mac.

How to?!
