trying to remove my wife's email and phone number from iMessage and FaceTime on my sweet, sweet new MBP but i can't figure out how to do so. it's fairly easy on the iPhone but i'm struggling to find the settings on the MBP.

lots of google searches say...

Messages > Settings > Accounts. Select your account. Uncheck the box corresponding to your phone number. On your iPad, go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive. Uncheck your phone number.

the problem is, i can't find messages and settings. this is my first macbook so please be kind. =)

never mind. found answer. didn't realize the settings were in the top task bar instead of the window of the app itself.

and it's the wrong forum. sorry.

how do i change iMessage and FaceTime settings in OS X?

Go into Preferences above and turn off the account under iCloud.
