I have Office 2008 installed and am running Excel. In Windows, one could go into format cell > date and change the locale but that option is not available in the Mac version. My dates are all in the US format (mm/dd/yyyy) and I wish to change it to the UK format (dd/mm/yyyy). Can anyone tell me how to do this please?

Many thanks

Yes, formats is set to UK and all looks as it should in that particular setting. Excel still doesn't want to know though and offers nothing to enable me to switch to UK format/locale. Any ideas?

Interesting. I'm still on 2004 (Microsoft is being slack with volume licensing) but I can enter 6/2/08 into Excel and it correctly detects it as 6 Feb 08. Which OS are you using?

Edit: Oh, I see what you're saying. Yeah, same problem here with 2004 on Leopard.
