I know it's probably trivially easy, but I can't seem to find it. I originally entered the name of my university, and I'd rather it just display an imaginary corporation involving my name, so all my XCode Projects don't say ©WPI at the top.

In terminal,
Code:
defaults write com.apple.Xcode PBXCustomTemplateMacroDefinitions '{ORGANIZATIONNAME = "My Company"; }'

i tried and i tried putting it into the terminal but it never changed it...
my current company says something i dont want it to say since i graduated already from school... i need to change it, please help

The Terminal thing probably only works for XCode.

Go to your Address Book, find your account, click edit, and change your company, which is right under your name.

thanks for reply, I did that.
THe thing is when i open 'word' or 'excel' for instance, i always see my name and then underneath my old schools name, i want to change that...i want it to say the new 'company' or 'school' that i am attending, how do i change that??

i changed it but when the word document is opening per say, and the intro thing pops out that says "this product is liscensed too name and company"...it still has the previous company name...any ideas, please help!
thanks ;)

What are you asking?
1.) How to hide the fact you have software on your machine that you shouldn’t

2) Or how to change what it puts on the info of documents you create?

Not sure many here will help you with the first.

Okay look all I want, is to put the licensed product to a different company than the one its set right now, why?
1) I changed companies...school whatever you want to call it

Please help me do this; I did go to User Information and did the whole 'jizz' but when i open it, it still says the previous company/school

(sorry for double posting)
Please help, I need to give this computer to my brother and he needs his files to be set with his companies name things...
thank you
